L’Épave, a practicable environment, gives its name to the hull of a shipwreck, an object abandoned at sea and discarded on the shores as a bewildered person who no longer finds its place in society. This metaphor seeks to express the mood that a particular person encounters at a given time during their existence. The artist is in direct dialogue with the environment and wants to add a plastic meaning to the space.

 

This space requires constant care and periodic rehabilitation like any ephemeral work designed to withstand the weather regardless of the material that makes it up. The previous refurbishment took place in May 2017.
